Meet the team
We are in the process of building a team to address our Flex Bank initiative.
Robin is an avid user of applying analytics to solve critical business problems. He has spent a fair amount of his career building advanced analytics for trading organizations (e.g., Louis Dreyfus, EDF Trading, Merrill Lynch Commodities). Before Pyxidr, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Co., advising clients on commodity trading opportunities, risk management (or management under uncertainty), and commercial optimization across various geographies and sectors — e.g., energy, metals, minerals, chemicals, CPG, dairy. Robin was also a leader of the Risk Advanced Analytics group.
Robin holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Université de Montréal. He was the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada scholarship recipient, an award given only to students of the highest caliber. He also did complementary studies and a comprehensive exam in Computer Science while enrolled in a Ph.D. program at McGill University.
In his spare time, Robin plays underwater hockey.
The name “Pyxidr” comes from the Greek word “pyxida” (πυξίδα) meaning compass — one of the earliest form of computing.
Pyxidr is a thought leader in commercial optimization. We work with forward-looking organizations to drive “intrapreneurship,” as well as developing or investing in innovative new businesses.
